Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Solar Laborer with experience in solar carport installations. This role involves trenching, moving materials, and installing solar carports while supporting electricians by holding wires. The position requires physical strength for lifting heavy objects and a commitment to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform trenching and move materials at the job site.
• Assist in the installation of solar carports.
• Support electricians by holding wires out of the way during installations.
• Engage in nuts and bolts tasks as needed.
• Lift and hold heavy modules and components.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and fall protection standards.

Essential Skills

• Experience with solar installations, particularly on carports.
• Knowledge of DC circuitry and mechanical aspects of solar systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand installation requirements.
• Physical ability to lift and hold solar modules.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Certification in fall protection and fault safety.
• Experience in trenching and working with personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Environment

The work environment consists of 8-hour shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The position involves physical labor, including lifting heavy materials, and requires adherence to safety protocols with personal protective equipment. No overtime is scheduled during this period, providing a consistent work-life balance.

This is a Contract position based out of Fullerton, CA.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
