Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer with a decade of engineering expertise in designing solenoids and valves, with a preference for those experienced in pneumatic valve design. The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of electromechanical systems and a proven track record in product development, from concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of mechanical and fluid system components, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability and smooth product transitions.
• Utilize advanced CAD software, such as SolidWorks, for modeling, drafting, and detailing mechanical designs.
• Conduct detailed engineering analyses, including structural, thermal, fluid dynamic, vibration, and tolerance assessments to validate performance.
• Engage directly with customers to understand technical requirements and provide design leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain awareness of new technologies and trends in mechanical and fluid systems to enhance design practices and product capabilities.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in valve design and design engineering.
• Experience with solenoids, fluid systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Mechanical design expertise, including new product development and introduction.
• Expertise in mechanical analysis, such as thermal, structural, fluid dynamic, vibration, and tolerance assessment.
• Leadership skills and the ability to guide projects from concept to production.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of mechanical design experience, including 5+ years working with fluid systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, or similar technologies.
• Strong leadership skills or demonstrated ability to lead projects and guide less experienced engineers.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and familiarity with design verification tools and methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform comprehensive engineering evaluations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with customers.
• Proactive problem-solver with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail.
