Maintenance Engineer

MUST HAVE ASEPTIC MACHINE / PHARMA EXPERIENCE

COMPETITIVE PAY RATE - Up to $60/hr

Job Description

This position will focus on repair, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance of various production and laboratory instruments, machines, and equipment within a drug and medical device manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct repair and corrective maintenance of production and laboratory instruments.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation of machines and equipment.
  • Diagnose and perform electrical repairs for AC (single and three-phase) and DC systems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting PLC problems and interpreting ladder logic.
  • Utilize multimeters, test probes, micrometers, and dial indicators effectively.
  • Read and interpret P&ID’s, isometrics, sketches, and handwritten instructions.
  • Maintain well-organized daily maintenance records.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components of HVAC systems.

Essential Skills

  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics.
  • Experience with aseptic equipment and calibration maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently in a cGMP environment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and using various test equipment.
  • Good communication and writing skills for effective teamwork.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with autoclaves, steam generators, and depryrogenation ovens.
  • Preferred experience with de-gassing and Electronic De-Ionization systems.
  • PC literacy for maintenance software and Microsoft products.
  • Associate or Technical Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7+ years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic.
  • Pharmaceutical or medical device experience in a GMP environment.
  • Hazmat Emergency Responder Certification preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing environment adhering to GMP standards. The position is on the 2nd shift from 2 pm to 10:30 pm, with overtime opportunities on Saturdays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $60.00/hr.
