Medical Device Technician
Job Description
We are seeking skilled technicians to join our team, with openings staggered throughout the year. In this role, you will work on complex device assembly and testing, particularly focusing on a small camera used for imaging testing. A strong foundation in computer skills, especially Excel, is essential.
Additional Information:
1st: 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday open to some Overtime, no weekends
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of assembly tasks on medical devices using work instructions and similar documentation.
- Start with packaging tasks and progress to more complex assembly duties.
- Conduct assembly operations on mechanical and electrical components and sub-assemblies under minimal supervision.
- Meet workmanship standards for quality, inspect work for defects, and report any deviations.
- Ensure production levels are met and keep the supervisor informed of progress.
- Comply with company standards for attendance, safety, housekeeping, and all personnel policies.
- Perform all tasks in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Excel, including basic operations such as copy/paste, saving documents, and using shortcuts.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems based on error messages.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Two years of prior assembler experience, including wiring harnessing and assembly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with tools such as multi meter, torque driver, pipette, light meter, temperature data logger, laser collimation, oscilloscope, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) is a plus.
- Experience with soldering, electro-mechanical systems, testing, cable assembly, wiring, and schematic interpretation.
- GMP experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, mainly Excel.
- Cleanroom experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and use process sheets, schematics, and blueprints.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds and effectively use a variety of hand tools.

Work Environment
Work in a manufacturing environment focused on the assembly of medical devices. The role requires moderate manual dexterity and involves walking, talking, and hearing. Proper use of hand tools is necessary. The dress code is consistent with industry standards for safety and cleanliness.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
