Job Title: Assembler - 1st ShiftJob Description

This role is integral to the production of high-quality medical devices, primarily within a cleanroom environment. Responsibilities include the formulation of polymers and spray coating materials, production using a microscope, and operating various equipment and machinery. The role demands strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery to produce medical devices to meet specifications.
  • Follow manufacturing instructions and update job documentation accurately for traceability.
  • Prepare and pack products for sterilization.
  • Inspect products using a microscope.
  • Set up coating machines and conduct coating, inspection, and folding of balloon catheters.
  • Prepare excipient and spray coating formulations and conduct formulation testing.
  • Package sterile and non-sterile finished or semi-finished goods.
  • Identify and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Build components for top-level work orders.
  • Complete necessary cleaning activities.
Essential Skills
  • 1+ year of experience in medical device manufacturing, ideally with microscope use.
  • Proficiency in English at a medium level.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
  • Comfortable working with chemicals.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom/gowning and de-gowning processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Experience in an aseptic or pharmaceutical environment is preferred.

Work Environment

The position involves working in a cleanroom environment with the expectation of standing throughout the shift. The work schedule includes two 30-minute breaks, one of which is off the clock. Employees will work with various equipment and technologies essential for medical device production.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA 92618.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
