Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Service Technician, where you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of modular buildings. Your expertise in construction, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and flooring, will be essential in ensuring the quality and readiness of our mobile office trailers. This position requires a commitment to safety and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and perform repairs or readiness work, including framing and finish carpentry, light electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, and running gear.
• Assist in the construction and repair of mobile office trailers, including installing furniture and electrical components, as well as basic patching and painting.
• Act in accordance with safety, transportation, and environmental policies.
• Attend periodic safety meetings and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Operate a company vehicle safely and maintain a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• Modify buildings as requested by customers and maintain proper inventory levels for service tasks.
• Ensure trailers are ready for scheduled delivery dates at stated quality levels.
• Perform HVAC system checks and maintenance per company guidelines.

Essential Skills

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Carpentry knowledge and experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Some computer knowledge and good communication skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on feet for 7-8 hours per day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with drywall, tile, baseboard, paneling, plywood, framing carpentry, door installation, and painting.
• Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC experience is a plus.
• Welding experience is beneficial.
• Experience in apartment building maintenance is advantageous.

Work Environment

Work primarily takes place outdoors, which can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The environment is fast-paced and requires wearing orange high-visibility shirts, jeans, and 6-inch steel toe, lace-up boots. All necessary PPE and tools will be provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
