Job Title: Repair TechnicianJob Description

The Repair Technician performs skilled technical work involving the diagnosis, replacement, repair, and rebuilding of oxygen tanks and systems for aircraft. This role requires the use of diagnostic equipment and a variety of trade-specific tools, applying principles and practices of electrical and electronics theory. The technician interprets and follows technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics while applying knowledge of equipment design and function. Adherence to industry and government-specific guidelines, especially those related to safety, health, and environmental practices, is crucial. The technician will also assist with the research and development of new repair capabilities, requiring the reading and understanding of new manuals and potentially participating in on and off-site training.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, replace, repair, and rebuild oxygen tanks and systems for aircraft.
  • Use diagnostic equipment and various trade-specific tools.
  • Apply principles and practices of electrical and electronics theory.
  • Interpret and follow technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics.
  • Ensure compliance with industry and government safety, health, and environmental guidelines.
  • Assist in the research and development of new repair capabilities.
  • Maintain shop equipment and supplies.
  • Make computer entries and complete maintenance documents such as Service Reports and 8130-3’s in accordance with FAA Regulations and company policies.
Essential Skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with hand tools
  • Ability to perform repairs and component troubleshooting
  • Experience in assembly and production environments

  • Ability to troubleshoot effectively
Work Environment

This position is located at an FAA Repair station. Technicians will work on various components including cylinders/regulators, high-pressure tanks, and oxygen masks. The work environment will require adherence to FAA regulations and company policies.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
