Job Title: Electrical Engineer


Job Description

The Electrical Engineer will support the legacy and sustainment design of printed circuit boards (PCBs). The role includes reading schematics, replacing components, redesigning PCBs, and validating and testing products. Additional duties involve generating documents and reports from root cause analysis, resolving product issues, and making appropriate modifications and design enhancements. The Electrical Engineer will actively communicate with customers regarding technical support, troubleshooting products, and implementing solutions related to PCBs.


Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret schematics for PCB design.
  • Replace components and redesign PCBs as necessary.
  • Validate and test products to ensure quality and performance.
  • Generate documents and reports from root cause analysis.
  • Resolve product issues and make appropriate modifications.
  • Design enhancements to improve existing PCB designs.
  • Communicate with customers for technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Implement solutions related to PCB design and function.

Essential Skills

  • Hardware design proficiency.
  • PCB design expertise using Altium.
  • Component selection skills, including handling obsolete parts.
  • Experience with root cause analysis.
  • Ability to make modifications to current designs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
  • Experience executing Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
  • EMI/EMC testing experience.
  • Safety certification knowledge (UL, CE).
  • Customer relations skills.

Work Environment

The Electrical Engineer will be part of a sustainment team that is currently rebuilding, focusing on supporting current customers and product lines to ensure high performance of existing and next-generation devices. The role involves working with oscilloscope and EMI testing equipment.
