Our client is seeking a well-versed technically minded individual to join their team supporting Patient Simulators. You will install and perform maintenance on these simulators at different medical-related customer sites such as Hospitals and Universities. The purpose of a patient simulator is to provide a more modern approach to hands-on prevention methods. A growing number of professionals and students now have access to next generation training methods in a more precise way. The Field Service Engineer (FSE) will travel within the greater area of their specified market to ensure the simulators are working properly by doing preventive maintenance.
Traveling Information
You can expect to drive AT MOST 5 hours within your area and you will receive gas mileage reimbursement after the 30th mile. You will gain a hotel room for long
distances but anything over 5 hours you can expect to fly. (Most often the travel is local, but you must be open to the idea of driving within a 5-hour radius. YOU MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO TRAVEL (DRIVING OR FLYING) MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY). You will be home most nights after your day, and you expect to be home on the weekends. There will be a 13-week training period that will require you to be away from home Monday through Friday. You can anticipate classroom
and field shadowing on weekly basis. YOUR TRAVEL EXPENSES WILL BE COVERED BY THIS CLIENT
Requirements
· Base-level IT knowledge. (Experience is preferred but not required)
· Familiarity with Networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, IP ADDRESSING)
· Must be well versed with Windows 10
· MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO TRAVEL MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY
· Good electronics aptitude is a huge plus
· Strong Customer Service Skills- this is the key
· This role is for recent graduates. It is difficult to do this job while attending classes or having other commitments on a weekly basis.
· Reliable form of transportation
· YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO TAKE AN IKM ASSESSMENT TO QUALIFY ( It is very similar to a CompTIA A+ assessment)
Additional Information
· The simulators run on a Windows 10 O/S and are connected to the client’s network.
· 13-week 100% training, travel m-f out of state.
· The company pays for all travel expenses.
· Anything over 30 miles reimbursed for mileage mile 31+on
· $65 per day food credit when traveling
· Installation/maintenance of patient simulators
· Automatically on the clock after the first hour of travel (driving or flying)
· There is no cookie cutter candidate, it is all based on one’s situation and technical abilities to qualify for this role
· We see a wide variety of candidates with multiple levels of experience. (Entry to Expert)
· Anything worked under 5 hours is automatically 5 hours
· Anything worked over 5 and a half hours is automatically 8 hours.
