Description
Provide both routine and advanced respiratory therapy to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients across a variety of clinical settings. Responsibilities include delivering care in critical care units, the Emergency Department, and intensive care areas. Therapists may be assigned to any department within the Health System based on operational needs. This position may require rotating shifts, including both day and night coverage. May convert to a career.
Salary: $65.08 - position may convert to career

We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated Respiratory professional with:
Educational Requirements:
* AA/AS Degree, Graduate of AMA Approved 2-Year Respiratory Therapy Program
* Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or similar- preferred
* Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Licenses/Certifications:
* RCP State License in the state of California
* Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) (American Heart Association only)
* Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)- required for NICU
* Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
* Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS)
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS/ALS) - preferred
* Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) - preferred
Physical Demands:
* Must be able to lift and carry 35 lbs.
* Must be able to physically roll a 100-pound, horizontally positioned patient
* Must be able to stand and/or walk 75% of the 12-hour workday
* Must be able to sit, push, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods
* Must have skill in performing routine pulmonary function test
* Must have familiarity and knowledge of handling: Blood Gas Machines, Exercise Systems, and other types of equipment routinely found in pulmonary function laboratory
* Must possess oral and written communication skills sufficient to communicate with colleagues, administrators, patients, visitors, staff, faculty, physicians, and on-site servicemen
