As a Patient Navigator, you will play a crucial role in guiding patients through their care journey under the supervision of the Front Desk Supervisor and Manager. You will be the main point of contact for patients at our Radiation Oncology locations, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and communicate with patients daily, starting from the moment they are scheduled for treatment.
  • Help patients understand their next steps and provide necessary information for their appointments.
  • Ensure patients arrive with all required documentation and information.
  • Facilitate clear and professional communication between patients and the care team.
  • Obtain necessary authorizations and explain the approval process to patients.
  • Manage and navigate the patient process proactively, handling frequent interruptions or distractions with ease.
  • Assist with general tasks, including triaging phone calls.

Salary: $29.42- $42.14 hourly

Job Qualifications
Qualifications
Required:
  • Working knowledge of Thoracic Surgical Oncology, cancer, and medical terminology.
  • Skill in prioritizing assignments when faced with heavy workload, deadlines, interruptions, and competing requests for service in order to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Skill in reading correspondence and other written communication in order to determine the urgency of the communication and who should be made aware of it.
  • Skill in writing grammatically correct routine business correspondence such as informational letters, memoranda, and notification letters.
  • Knowledge of University structure and policies sufficient to serve as a resource for questions, referrals, and documentation.
  • Ability to utilize CareConnect to register, encounter, and arrive patients, and to retrieve patient records.
  • Skill in using Word and Excel.
  • Ability to type with speed and accuracy.
