Location: 100% Remote (Supporting West Coast – West of Colorado)
Travel: Up to 100% (All travel expenses covered)
Employment Type: 6‑Month Contract‑to‑Hire
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced AV Foreman to lead the installation, commissioning, and service of enterprise‑level audio‑visual and low‑voltage systems across the West Coast. This role is fully remote when not traveling and requires extensive travel to customer sites. All flights, hotels, rental cars, and travel expenses are covered by the client.
The AV Foreman provides hands‑on technical leadership in the field, oversees installation teams, and serves as the primary escalation point for complex AV troubleshooting. You will partner closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, on scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage AV and low‑voltage installations from mobilization through project completion
- Direct on‑site technicians and subcontractors, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency
- Review Statements of Work (SOWs), functional diagrams, floor plans, RCPs, and technical documentation
- Coordinate daily field activities based on project plans and work orders
- Perform site surveys and site readiness assessments prior to installation
- Install, terminate, configure, and commission AV systems including:
- Audio and video systems
- DSPs, control systems, racks, wall plates, and speakers
- PTZ cameras, paging systems, and structured cabling
- Independently troubleshoot system issues and implement field modifications as needed
- Ensure full system calibration and validation of control system functionality
- Maintain accurate documentation, including redlines and as‑built drawings
- Communicate daily project status updates to Project Managers
- Interface directly with customers to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction
- Coordinate and book required travel for assigned installations
- Support technical escalations from internal support teams
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 100%
Required Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of AV systems, signal flow, and installation best practices
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction documents
- Prior experience leading on‑site AV or low‑voltage installation teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self‑motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently in the field
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 100%, including international travel
- Active passport (or ability to obtain one)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work on job sites

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
