In this exciting and rewarding position, you will provide evidence-based care in an academic ED setting to multiple patients of all ages with complex medical conditions. Patient populations include adult, pediatric, psych, geriatric, trauma, STEMI and stroke. You will offer guidance to team members by supervising nursing interventions and assigning related tasks. You will also assess patient, family and staff learning needs, deliver appropriate clinical education and promote effective working relationships. This involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals to develop and implement a care plan, including providing detailed care instructions. Join our team today!

Salary range: $62.43 - $92.81 Hourly

Job Qualifications
Qualifications

We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:
  • Current valid California RN license, required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN or MSN degree, required.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
  • If not already obtained, either Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is required within 6 months of start date.
  • One year of direct patient care in an Emergency Department setting required.
  • Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire.
  • Clinical skills include patient assessment, IV start, knowledge of medications, IV infusions and airway management.
  • Ability to provide appropriate care for high acuity patients such as stroke, STEMI, trauma, psych, and pediatric populations.
  • Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral patient assessments.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff.
