Job Title: Document Control Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Document Control Specialist to join our team at a leading contract manufacturer of personal care products. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and accessibility of documentation across manufacturing and quality operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in regulated environments and a strong understanding of GMP documentation practices.
Responsibilities
- Draft, revise, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), with a focus on On-the-Job Training (OJT) documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure SOPs reflect current practices and regulatory requirements.
- Initiate, track, and close change control requests related to manufacturing processes, documentation, and product specifications.
- Ensure timely review and approval of changes in accordance with internal procedures.
- Review and verify manufacturing work orders for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with batch records and specifications.
- Support production and quality teams in resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for raw materials and finished goods.
- Ensure SDSs are current and accessible to relevant departments.
- Review and archive Finished Goods Certificates of Analysis (COAs) to ensure they meet customer and regulatory specifications.
- Coordinate with Quality Control to resolve any COA-related issues.
- Manage electronic and paper-based document control systems.
- Ensure proper version control, access permissions, and archival of quality documents.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in SOP development and GMP documentation practices.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Experience in document control and batch record review.
- Knowledge of change control and quality control processes.
- Attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Solid wiring experience.
