Visual Designer (Vehicle)

Description

We are looking for a highly skilled visual designer to support in-vehicle experiences across all of brands. This person will support a variety of projects the touch any digital experience within the vehicle (i.e. heads up display, cluster, center stack, passenger and rear control/entertainment, etc). This person will support a mixture of production and conceptual design work, focusing on both the current system as well as future design.

It will be very important that this designer has a strong understanding of super high-fidelity visual execution, understanding theming and concepting, and driving the total look and feel of each brand and UI execution.

This team is also looking to have this person help champion a theme for each brand layer and the brand direction and help drive the a high fidelity and highly polished look of the experiences. Ideally someone who really understands the ins and outs of automotive and the heritage that helps create excitement and emotion for users visually.

What You’ll Do

- Collaborate closely with team members and cross functional teams to craft a premier user experience across all our products and platforms

- Balance user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives to solve problems effectively

- Develop production interaction design following design guidelines

- Create design deliverables to communicate your work including sketches, drawings, mockups, animations, and prototypes

- Release production spec and assets to software engineering teams

- Present work to peers and leadership

- Work with product teams and engineers to execute user interface designs as a flawless part of the overall user experience, advocating aesthetics and visual design principles

- Participate in design critiques to guide design decisions
