Description
Under the direction of the Associate Director of QC Bioassays or department manager, perform general laboratory research and experiments following established protocols and SOPs. The Research Associate I will perform routine laboratory and equipment maintenance, assist with ongoing research projects either independently or as a team member, analyze and archive study data. Perform and assist principal investigators with animal studies that may include: Dose administration – IP (intraperitoneal), intradermal, subcutaneous (SQ), intramuscular (IM), and oral gavage Daily mice weighing, daily scoring after dosing completion Assist team with daily preparation for dosing Necropsy, tissue/organ dissection if needed Observe and communicate animal health conditions to appropriate personnel. Responsible for maintaining and archiving all study data files (electronic and hard copies) Understand and follow relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Protocol requirements regarding all laboratory activities assigned or engaged in Learn new in vitro/in vivo models as required and conduct them under general supervision Responsible for general lab maintenance Ensure adherence to GMPs, GLPs, and GDPs where required. Learn and develop proficiency in JMP analysis Assist team members with ongoing studies Will spend 1-2 hours in the morning at Newark at the HQ then will go to in-vivo lab in Mt view; help weigh animals and do observations. 80-90% time in Mt. View & 10-20% time in Newark HQ. Animal scoring and assisting with experiments. Working with mice, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs.

Preferred Experience: • Comfortable in handling mouse/rats • Ability to learn new techniques under supervision. • Ability to analyze data and report the results in required format • Ability to perform animal experiment after training • Ability to do number crunching/ calculations in excel and graphing along with good word processing skills Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in biology required. Preferred Additional Skills (i.e., Computer): Proficiency in MS office
