Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical repair and maintenance of all process and building equipment, including pumps, temperature controllers, and mechanical equipment. You will assist in the completion, implementation, and management of the Preventative Maintenance Program, performing preventative maintenance on all machines and building equipment as per the program's guidelines. Your role will also involve testing and repairing issues in high and low voltage electrical and electronic circuits and systems. Additionally, you will read, interpret, modify, and implement technical information from manufacturer’s manuals, electrical drawings, blueprints, P&IDs, and maintenance procedures while adhering to all health, safety, and environmental procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical repair and maintenance on process and building equipment.
  • Assist in implementing and managing the Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on machines and building equipment.
  • Test and repair high and low voltage electrical and electronic circuits and systems.
  • Read, interpret, and modify technical information from manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Comply with company health, safety, and environmental procedures and policies.

Essential Skills

  • Strong electrical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with electrical systems including 3 phase motors, relays, and PLC troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Experience with welding, mechanical HVAC, plumbing, and fabrication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of primary and secondary power systems.
  • Experience with motors, switch gears, electrical panels, and lighting systems.
  • Proficiency using power tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience with motor control systems.
  • Flexibility with work hours, including off shifts and weekends as needed.

Work Environment

The position involves working across six different buildings. Employees must have their own tools, which can be securely stored on-site

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
