Job Description
The Reconciliation Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data related to client services. This involves reconciling expenses across internal systems, verifying budget alignment, analyzing general ledger accounts, and maintaining compliance with documentation standards. The role requires strong skills in accounting, data analysis, and proficiency in software systems such as NetSuite and HMIS Clarity. A keen attention to detail and the ability to collaborate across finance and program teams are essential.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile financial data across internal systems to ensure accuracy.
- Verify budget alignment and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
- Analyze general ledger accounts and maintain high accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with finance and program teams to support life-changing services.
- Engage in financial reconciliation work that supports transparency and accountability.
Essential Skills
- Basic understanding of accounting and bookkeeping.
- Experience in financial analysis and budgeting, particularly within governmental or federally funded non-profits.
- Proficiency in data reconciliation across systems.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with NetSuite.
- Proficiency in HMIS Clarity.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze budgets, GL accounts, and financial data with high attention to detail.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a nonprofit services organization.
- CPR/First Aid certification (must obtain and maintain).
- TB clearance (post-offer requirement).
- Valid California driver’s license and insurance.
- Ability to travel locally up to 10% of the time.
Work Environment
This is a part-time position with variable hours ranging from 15-20 hours per week during slower periods and 25-30 hours per week during busy periods.
