Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description
As a Forklift Operator, you will initially engage in picking tasks for 2-3 weeks before obtaining your forklift certification. Once certified, your primary role will involve operating a sit-down forklift for 80% of your workday, with the remaining 20% dedicated to additional duties. You will move bins across the production floor, inspect loads, build pallets, pick orders, and maintain cleanliness. Operating a single double forklift, which can lift two pallets simultaneously, is a key aspect of the role.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift on the production floor to move bins and materials.
- Inspect loads and build pallets efficiently and accurately.
- Pick orders and perform general cleaning duties.
- Operate a single double forklift for transporting two pallets at once.
- In the HPP/Bottling area, store bins of juice promptly and ensure continuous juice supply for the HPP process.
- Organize bins to prevent mixing and stock bin dumpers as needed.
- Utilize NetSuite via computer, phone, or handheld devices to transport materials.
- Organize pallets, manage dunnage, and load trailers in the bottling department.
- Document pallet counts and wrap pallets securely in Packaging/Packout.
- Return unused materials to designated areas and transfer them using NetSuite/RF Smart systems.
- Report safety concerns, misuse of equipment, and work-related incidents promptly.
- Adhere to company policies, SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 2 years of recent consistent forklift experience.
- Proficiency in sit-down forklift operation.
- Experience with RF Smart systems.
- Proficiency with computers and handheld devices.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and multitask effectively.
- Attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
