HR Administrator

Position Summary:

The HR Administrator supports the Head of People Operations & Culture and the leadership team by performing a variety of administrative and HR-related functions. This role ensures compliance with company policies, assists with employee relations, and contributes to special projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all HR-related inquiries at the Oceanside location.
  • Maintain confidentiality while providing professional and courteous assistance to employees.
  • Manage daily HR tasks, including responding to emails, correcting timeclock errors, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
  • Communicate with staffing agencies regarding employee issues and maintain accurate documentation for training and safety protocols.
  • Assist with payroll processing and submission as needed.
  • Support onboarding processes, coordinate interviews, and facilitate compliance training.
  • Organize HR-related events and meetings, including safety meetings and new hire orientations.
  • Perform monthly safety walk-throughs and coordinate employee engagement activities (e.g., birthday celebrations).
  • Provide guidance on benefits, policies, and company programs.
  • Complete other HR and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or HR certification in a related field OR 1–2 years of HR experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel – advanced skills preferred).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively across departments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment: Office setting within a manufacturing facility; requires frequent interaction with employees and managers across departments.

Physical Requirements: Primarily sedentary role with occasional walking; must be able to sit for extended periods and use standard office equipment.

Confidentiality: This position requires handling sensitive employee information and maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.

Growth Opportunity: Exposure to multiple HR functions including payroll, compliance, onboarding, and employee engagement—ideal for someone looking to advance in HR.

Tools & Systems: Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) is highly preferred.

Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule Flexibility: While standard hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, occasional extended hours (10:00 AM – 7:00 PM) may be required during peak periods in summer.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.50/hr.
