Utility workers play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of their department. They are responsible for physically handling products, materials, and supplies, as well as inspecting products to ensure high quality.
Responsibilities- Load and unload HPP torpedoes.
- Stand bottles up at HPP discharge.
- Operate the HPP dumper.
- Make and pre-build boxes.
- Bring in fiber and packaging materials for the lines.
- Load caps into cap hoppers.
- Conduct general labor related to the bottling process.
- Assist with shipping, pack-out, receiving, and inventory tasks.
- Build pallets and move or stack cases weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines when in the plant.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- General production skills.
- Experience in packaging, packing, and bottling.
- Familiarity with production and filling machines.
- One year of previous production experience, preferably in food and beverage.
- Proficiency in English.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, with most tasks involving consistent lifting of 10 lbs.

Work EnvironmentThis role is within a wet, refrigerated manufacturing facility with temperatures below 40°F, similar to a Costco cold room. Occasionally, tasks may occur in a dry warehouse environment with temperatures up to 85°F or in freezer conditions at –10°F. Work areas can be tight, and employees will be exposed to noisy environments exceeding 85 dBA. Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed shoes, is mandatory. The position requires efficient and safe performance of repetitive tasks.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr.
