Job Description
As a Level 3 CNC Machinist, you will work safely under functional safety guidelines, including personal protective equipment and equipment interaction. You will support and comply with the company's Quality System, AS9100, Cardinal Rules of Quality, and Cardinal Rules of Safety while executing the production schedule.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the area has the materials and supplies to meet production needs.
- Complete orders that meet quality standards within the required timeline.
- Ensure machines are running efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure operators follow work instructions and processes.
- Provide daily updates through PCC03 or other tools.
- Submit work orders to Maintenance.
- Implement process improvements.
- Attend company meetings.
- Read and comply with work instructions, setup sheets, and checklists.
- Enter production information into the ERP system on a timely basis.
- Accurately record and report hours worked.
- Complete Production Incident Report for all red tags as soon as possible and notify a Supervisor.
- Complete all other work duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Operate 3-5 axis CNC machines and lathes to produce complex aerospace parts with little or no assistance.
- Demonstrate advanced cross-training flexibility, including first part run and full machine recovery.
- Complete complex setups on 3-5 axis machines.
- Apply advanced blueprint and GD&T reading to complex production inspection processes.
- Edit programs and write simple programs to make tooling.
- Troubleshoot complex parts.
- Typically, 4-6 years of experience in machining, especially in a machine shop environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and speak effectively before supervisors or employees.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Familiarity with all tools and equipment in a machine shop, including drill press, tool grinders, power saws, belt sanders, various measuring tools, and more.

Work Environment
You will train on the 1st shift (8am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday) and then move to either the 2nd shift (12:15pm - 8:45pm, Monday to Friday) or the 3rd shift (8:15pm - 4:45am). The work environment includes a production floor with exposure to moderate noise, occasional mist, airborne particles, and other elements typical of a manufacturing setting. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, including steel toes, ear plugs, and safety glasses.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ontario, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $35.00/hr.
