Sr. Technical Accounting Analyst

We are currently hiring a Senior Technical Accounting Analyst for one of the top consumer lenders.

Description

• Responsible for general ledger and month-end closing processes including:
  • Preparing journal entries and reconciling complex balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate reporting
  • Reviewing all intercompany transactions and account balances for appropriate elimination
  • Analyzing account information and activity to make recommendations and confirm allocations are accurate
  • Review contracts and prepare memorandums based on accounting guidance
  • Maintaining internal control documentation and operating procedures
• Serve as the subject matter expert on technical accounting matters to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles including ASC 606, ASC 842 and ASC 805)
  • Assist with forecasting, budgeting, reporting, annual financial statement audit, data analysis and other projects as determined.

Qualifications

MUST HAVES:

- B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance

- Active CPA (or in the process of working towards one)

- 3+ years of public accounting experience

- Excellent proficiency within Excel - formulas, pivot tables, macros

- 3+ years of Lease Accounting experience

- 3+ years of Revenue Recognition experience

- 3= years of experience reviewing contracts

- Excellent communication skills - need to communicate with every department

- Excellent organizational skills

- Stability in a role and comfortable being in one position for at least 3 years

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Dynamics 365, Salesforce, or Power BI a plus
