Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Assembler Technician to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The role involves working with industrial fiber optic communication equipment, including converters, cables, ethernet switches, and power supplies. This entry-level position is perfect for those looking to grow their career in production and assembly.

Responsibilities
- Assemble parts and brackets using hand and power tools.
- Count and assemble components into kits.
- Communicate effectively and follow instructions independently.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, crimpers, wire cutters, and hand drills to make or repair parts and products.
- Cut and measure wiring and cables.
- Crimp wires and cables.
- Interpret technical documents, such as bills of materials, or other instructions.
- Carry up to 25 lbs and work with other team members to assemble products.
- Prepare materials for assembly, including deburring and assembling metal brackets, and cutting and painting wood.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace.
- Meet all company and industry safety requirements.
- Identify and handle defective items according to procedures.
- Use reason to solve problems as they arise.
Essential Skills
- Proficient use of hand tools and power tools.
- Experience with wiring, crimping, and cable assembly.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work using a microscope and magnifying glass.
- Skilled in mechanics and operating tools such as hand drills, drill press, table saws, and grinders.
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods.
- Good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and color differentiation.

Work Environment
Work in a 25-30 person manufacturing facility with about 5 team members in the assembly department. The position operates on the 1st shift, from 7:30 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. Enjoy a clean and organized workspace with a focus on safety and teamwork.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orange, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
