Job Description

Join a leading company in remotely piloted aircraft and surveillance systems as a Machinist. Under general supervision, you will operate and fabricate machine parts using floor-type 5-axis power mills, ensuring precision and quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate 5-axis mills.
• Clean machines and work areas.
• Deburr parts to ensure smooth finishes.
• Perform kitting of production tools, fixtures, cutters, and pre-cut raw materials.
• Complete instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts using blueprint dimensions and prescribed gauges.
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
• Layout, fabricate, and assemble components when necessary.
• Observe all applicable laws, regulations, and obligations while conducting business.
• Work safely in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned or required.

Essential Skills

• Experience operating 5-axis mills.
• Ability to perform semi-routine setup and fabrication of machined parts.
• Knowledge of machining equipment and ability to use judgment and safe practices.
• Ability to read and understand engineering blueprints and diagrams.
• Skills to maintain the flow of work within the unit.
• Good interpersonal skills and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work extended hours as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Customer-focused mindset.
• Good knowledge of machining equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poway, CA.

The pay range for this position is $26.29 - $26.29/hr.
