We are hiring an experienced Senior Civil Engineer / Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to lead complex civil infrastructure and site development projects across Southern California and beyond.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of high‑impact projects ranging from $2M to $250M, with exposure to both public and private sector work that directly shapes communities and critical infrastructure.
What You’ll Work On
You will support and lead a diverse portfolio of projects, including:
Public Sector Projects
- Federal agencies such as the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, and Veterans Affairs
- State and municipal government projects throughout California
- K‑12 schools and higher education campuses
- Transportation and civic infrastructure initiatives
Private Sector Projects
- Commercial developments including office, retail, and industrial facilities
- Senior housing and multi‑family residential developments
- Design‑build and mixed‑use projects in partnership with private developers
What You’ll Do
- Lead civil engineering design efforts for site development, grading, drainage, and stormwater systems
- Design water distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems
- Manage projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship on complex engineering challenges
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Active Civil Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California
- 10+ years of experience in civil engineering design and project management
- Strong experience with site development, grading, stormwater, and drainage design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Experience preparing stormwater reports
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred)
- Experience with public sector and/or federal (DoD) projects in California is strongly preferred

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poway, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62.50 - $68.00/hr.
