OSP Construction Administrator – Role Summary
The OSP (Outside Plant) Administrator will support telecommunications construction and fiber network projects by handling permitting, documentation, scheduling, and project coordination. This role serves as a communication bridge between field crews, contractors, engineering teams, and project managers. The administrator ensures project records are organized, progress is accurately tracked, and safety and compliance requirements are met. Strong organization, communication, and project management skills are essential.
Job Duties
Project & Construction Coordination
- Schedule construction activities and update project timelines.
- Track workflows, milestones, and daily progress using tools like Excel or project management software.
- Coordinate with field crews, engineering teams, and external contractors to ensure work aligns with project plans.
Document & Permit Management
- Maintain and organize construction prints, fiber design packages, permits, and engineering documentation.
- Support submittals, revisions, version control, and distribution of updated project records.
Communication & Support
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and field personnel.
- Communicate schedule updates, material needs, and project changes across stakeholders.
- Assist with meeting scheduling, agenda preparation, and distributing notes or follow-up tasks.
Administrative & Financial Processing
- Process invoices, billing, purchase orders, and material orders.
- Track budgets and help maintain financial records for project-related expenses.
- Maintain logs and inventory for project materials and equipment.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and distribute project reports regarding progress, budgets, permits, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and support safety documentation.
- Track and file inspection reports, job hazard analyses, and other regulatory paperwork.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Project coordination or project management experience
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams
- Familiarity with telecommunications, fiber, or construction environments
Preferred Experience
- 2–5 years in telecommunications, construction administration, or project support
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Salesforce, Jira)
- Understanding of construction drawings, fiber designs, or OSP engineering workflows

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
