Front Desk Receptionist
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Hours vary between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (with potential to stay until 8–9 PM based on patient needs)
Dress Code: Scrubs
Job Summary
Advantage MRI, a family-owned clinic with deep roots in Southern California, is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our close-knit team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting and enjoys being part of a collaborative and flexible work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth
- Schedule appointments in person and over the phone
- Verify insurance and handle authorization calls
- Assist with billing follow-up and referral intake
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Receptionist
- Familiarity with insurance verification and medical billing codes
- Knowledge of medical terminology and various insurance providers
- Experience with high-volume patient interaction

Work Environment
- Small clinic setting, similar to a family practice or urgent care
- Front desk team of 3–4 people in an open lobby-facing layout
- Same-day appointments mean shifts are finalized the night before
- High volume and fast-paced—ideal for those who thrive under pressure
Important Notes
- Attendance Policy: 5 absences within 90 days = warning; 7 may lead to termination
- Flexibility: Must be open to staying late and enthusiastic about overtime
