Lead Java Developer

TEKsystems in Sacramento, CA has an onsite Senior Level Lead Java Developer position available with a cutting-edge client. Seeking a technically strong engineer with expert Java backend skills that can take ownership of an initiative and work with others to see it to completion. Must report to office in Rocklin CA.

This is a group using the latest technologies in Java in a high-traffic e-commerce environment. Responsibilities would center around writing Senior level enterprise-scale code while still helping to drive the technical direction of the company, as well as eventually managing a team of 2-3 top performers.

• Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs.
• Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications.
• Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Authors, reviews and approves technical designs.
• Reviews code to ensure it is functionally correct and consistent with the technical design.
• Teaches and mentors within team; Actively shares through peer mentoring, shared resources and informal teachings.
• Inspires teamwork and gently guides the Agile/project team

Qualifications:

• Enterprise-level experience with Java/Spring Boot
• Strong understanding of modern DevOps
• Deep expertise in developing microservices

Nice to Haves:

• Claude experience
• Experience leading a team

This is a Contract position based out of Sacramento, CA.

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
