Job Title - Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
Job Description
The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) acts as a key liaison between patients, clinical staff, and providers, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and patient-centered dental care experience. This role combines front-office coordination with chairside clinical support, maintaining high standards of care, compliance, and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities include coordinating patient appointments, managing insurance and financial information, assisting providers during dental procedures, preparing treatment areas, and educating patients on treatment plans and oral health practices.
Clinical & RDA Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and dental procedures by passing instruments, materials, and supplies.
- Prepare treatment rooms, including sterilization and setup of instruments in accordance with infection control and OSHA guidelines.
- Take and develop dental radiographs/X-rays in compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform supportive dental procedures within RDA scope (e.g., coronal polishing, impressions, sealants, fluoride treatments), as permitted by licensure.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, post-operative care, oral hygiene, and preventive dental practices.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and alert leadership of ordering needs.
- Follow all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, and state dental board requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
- CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required per state law)

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Sacramento, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
