Job Title: Project Manager (Civil Engineering)


Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Project Manager to join our Energy Studio and manage solar and energy-related land development projects through all phases, from concept through construction. This role offers a long-term growth opportunity within a high-performing, project-based team.


Responsibilities

  • Manage or assist in managing solar and energy-related land development projects through all phases: planning, design, permitting, and construction.
  • Coordinate internal project team and act as point of contact for external stakeholders including clients, consultants, and permitting agencies.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables with support from Technical Managers and senior leadership.
  • Delegate and assign tasks to team members based on expertise and project needs.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and QA/QC on grading, drainage, utility, and site layout designs.
  • Support or lead client communication, progress meetings, and proposal efforts.
  • Work closely with senior staff to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.

Essential Skills

  • 6–10+ years of experience in civil land development with 2+ years focused on solar or large-scale energy projects.
  • Proven ability to lead design teams and manage projects independently.
  • Demonstrated success in client management and proposal development.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of grading and drainage design for large-scale solar sites.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, maps, and survey documents.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CEQA, NEPA, or other permitting processes (a plus).
  • Experience in solar land development or civil project management.
  • Interest in a long-term growth opportunity within a collaborative team.

Work Environment

The role involves working alongside a collaborative team of civil engineers and technical managers, focusing on delivering solar land development projects. The position requires proficiency in civil engineering tools and a strong understanding of large-scale solar site design.

Compensation:$150000
