Job Description

This role involves planning and executing the development of enterprise software solutions, addressing both system-level and data management applications. You will be tasked with formulating comprehensive plans for software development, including coding, platform requirements, and testing. The role also entails deploying and maintaining enterprise applications, ensuring they remain viable in a dynamic technological environment.


Responsibilities

  • Develop technical objectives based on user requirements and specifications.
  • Guide the development and implementation of software solutions, considering language, coding, platform, and resource needs.
  • Coordinate the deployment of enterprise applications ensuring cross-platform compliance.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, including debugging and updating software.
  • Lead future application planning based on advancements in computer technology.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced developers.
  • Represent the organization as a technical contact for projects and programs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Adhere to laws, regulations, and obligations, ensuring safe work practices.

Essential Skills

  • Extensive expertise in software development concepts and principles.
  • Experience with AWS Gov Cloud and software development architecture.
  • Proficiency in using/configuring tools like SVN, GIT, Gitlab, Linux, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, RPMs, Docker, VMWare, Apache, NGINX, VDI, DAAS.
  • Strong skills in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Powershell.
  • Experience developing code in high-level programming languages like C#, C, and Java.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with nine or more years of experience, master's degree with seven or more years, or PhD with four or more years in computer science, information systems, or related fields.
  • Ability to quickly understand and apply new concepts.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to provide leadership and guidance to less experienced professionals.

Work Environment

Work in a technologically advanced environment with tools and technologies such as Jenkins, Docker, AWS Gov Cloud, and manufacturing-based solutions. Engage in a collaborative team setting, ensuring all operations adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
