Job Description
- Operate hospital communication systems including phones, pagers, overhead paging, and secure messaging with staff and physicians.
- Manage emergency alerts and dispatch services such as Transport, Translation, Biomed, EVS, and POM across multiple sites.
- Maintain on-call schedules and support secure PHI transmission using web paging and Informcast systems.
- Serve as a critical communication hub during emergencies, ensuring accurate and timely information flow hospital-wide.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced call center; emergency dispatching experience preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong ability to multi-task in a complex environment and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Open availability 24/7 required; schedules rotate biweekly (shift differentials apply).
Additional Details
- Start Date: August 4th
- Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday–Sunday; must be open to day, swing, overnight, and weekend shifts
- Location: San Diego, CA 92123 (Kearny Mesa area)
- Pay: $21–$26/hour, depending on experience
- Swing shift differential: +$1.15/hour
- Overnight shift differential: +$1.75/hour
