Job Description
Under general supervision, the QC Technician is responsible for monitoring product quality through testing and observation. This role involves the operation of moderately complex semi-automated equipment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor product quality through testing and observation.
- Prepare reagents as part of quality control processes.
- Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy in testing.
- Operate semi-automated equipment for product testing.
- Perform pipetting and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Essential Skills
- Experience in calibration and quality control.
- Proficiency in reagent preparation and pipetting.
- Familiarity with GMP standards in a medical device setting.
- Ability to perform testing and operate semi-automated equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Zero to two years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills.
- Experience with ten key adding machines is preferred.
Work Environment
The main work location is at the specified site with potential occasional work at the Rutherford site. The work schedule is from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential weekend shifts. The job involves working in a diagnostic healthcare environment with advanced technologies in lateral-flow, direct fluorescent antibody, and molecular diagnostics.
