Cleanroom Technician - 1st, 2nd, 3rd Shift - $19/hr - $21.85/hr

Job Description

The Cleanroom Technician will manage daily production and packaging activities in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all related standard operating procedures (SOPs). The technician will work diligently to meet assigned production goals and manage unscheduled workload peaks to ensure timely release of products and prevent back orders.

1st shift: 6am-2:30pm ($19/hr)

2nd shift: 2pm-10:30pm ($20.90/hr)

3rd shift: 9:30pm-6am ($21.85/hr)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Team Leader to detail critical raw materials, in-process procedures, and specifications.
  • Identify and implement corrective actions for technical problems related to raw materials and finished products.
  • Perform in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished products.
  • Address line issues and other production problems, promptly notifying the Team Leader of required corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and all related SOPs.
  • Utilize computerized Materials Resource Planning (MRP) inventory system to report lot-controlled ingredients on batch records.

Essential Skills

  • Understanding of cleanroom environments and production processes.
  • Proficiency in Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and ability to explain their application.
  • Experience with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ability to provide detailed examples of their use.
  • Machine operation and quality assurance skills.
  • Knowledge of packaging and inspection processes.
  • Computer operation skills and familiarity with GMP.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • At least two years of previous assembly/packaging experience.
  • Experience in regulated medical device manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments.
  • Ability to quickly comprehend coagulation-based manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with GDP, GMP, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), FDA, and ISO standards.
  • Knowledge of qualification and validation trials is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Work Environment

The role involves various shifts including 1st shift (6am to 2:30pm), 2nd shift (2pm to 10:30pm), and 3rd shift (9:30pm to 6am). The dress code requires pants, prohibits makeup and lipstick, and mandates tucked necklaces and side shields for glasses. The environment can be loud, but ear protection is provided. Headphones and cell phones are not permitted on the manufacturing floor. Flexibility for overtime, including Saturdays, is appreciated and necessary for smooth operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.85/hr.
