1st shift - 7am to 3:30pm, $19.00/hour

Job Description

As a Quality Technician, you will perform crucial technical tasks related to quality control and inspection. This role involves approximately four hours of microscope inspection daily, alongside testing and documentation tasks. Proficiency in Excel and multitasking is essential. You will conduct dimensional and mechanical inspections, with a preference for candidates familiar with calipers and micrometers. While blueprint reading is preferred, it is not mandatory. Strong computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of Micro-electronic, small parts using a microscope
• Use a micrometer, caliper, depth gauge, and other measuring tools.
• Read blueprints or mechanical diagrams
• Must be able to complete proper inspection documentation

Essential Skills

• 2 years’ experience as a technician in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to use a micrometer, caliper, depth gauge, and other measuring tools.
• Skill in using a computer, especially Microsoft Excel
• Able to read and write in English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to use a microscope for extended periods of time
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings/blueprints is preferred.
• Willingness to wear cleanroom apparel.
• Ability to perform visual inspection.

Work Environment

The work environment is a cleanroom setting where adherence to specific attire is required. You will work with advanced technologies and measuring equipment to ensure product quality. The role involves both standing and sitting for extended periods and requires physical movement throughout the plant. You will be part of a supportive team dedicated to maintaining high standards of quality control and assurance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.75/hr.
