Shipping Coordinator

Job Description

Responsible for tasks in support of shipping and distribution, this role involves coordinating shipping priorities and special requests with the Material Manager, creating shipping folders, scheduling shipments, and resolving discrepancies in shipment requests.

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge and process customer ship requests.
  • Coordinate with Material Manager to ensure understanding of shipping priorities and special requests.
  • Create shipping folders and schedule shipments according to client requests.
  • Resolve discrepancies in shipment requests.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, including pick lists and purchase orders in the ERP system.
  • Follow good documentation practices on all documentation.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in ERP systems.
  • Experience with shipping and data entry.
  • Familiarity with RF scanners.
  • Proficiency in packing and inventory control.
  • Previous experience generating shipping orders and sending items to customers.
  • Competence in documenting shipping work on a computer.

Work Environment

The work hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime. The role involves working in a warehouse environment, adhering to standard safety protocols.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
