Job Title: Sr Project Manager


Job Description

The Sr Project Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting various teams and driving the successful execution and implementation of projects. As an individual contributor, you will plan, organize, and manage all activities necessary to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects within established objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Distribute all project-related documentation internally for review and revisions as required.
  • Monitor project budgets and review reports and expenses to ensure allocated funds are spent as specified.
  • Follow established guidelines to manage the completion of project milestones start to finish.
  • Identify project risks and provide solutions to minimize or eliminate risks, monitoring key project processes for compliance with objectives.
  • Define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout the entire project.
  • Facilitate timely decisions to maintain the project schedule and budget, while providing metric and milestone updates to upper management.
  • Communicate effectively and present clear, detailed plans.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and develop a deep understanding of their objectives.
  • Support government property audits and act as a single point of contact while providing support in the preparation of customer annual reviews and certifications.
  • Assist with customer cost audits supporting cost or pricing packages (DCMA/DCAA).
  • Monitor contractual requirements for property/tool calibration, maintenance, storage, and perseverance in adherence to company SOPs and Customer flow downs (FAR/DFAR).
  • Lead and direct work for a team of employees based on business needs.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Solid experience in project management methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to meet goals and deadlines accurately and on time.
  • Self-motivated with problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Technical background to understand and evaluate technical specifications, requirements, and capabilities.
  • Adaptability and responsiveness to changes in environment and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and interface with cross-functional departments.
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Knowledge of US government contracts and contract types.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and proprietary information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience will be considered.
  • 3-7 years of relevant experience.

Work Environment

The work environment involves collaboration with cross-functional departments including Finance, Supply Chain, Contracts, Facilities, Engineering, and Operations. You will work independently and utilize excellent interpersonal skills to drive tasks to completion. The use of Microsoft Office Suite is required, and the role involves managing both active and non-active projects in adherence to company SOPs and customer requirements.
