Job Title: Robotics Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a Robotics Operator to work hands-on with our robotic arms in a kitchen-like environment. This role involves manipulating robotic arms to scoop food, pick up kitchen utensils, and perform various tasks that generate critical data for improving automation systems. You will collaborate closely with engineers and data scientists to ensure accurate data collection and system performance.
Responsibilities
- Operate and control robotic arms to perform tasks such as scooping food, handling utensils, and simulating kitchen workflows.
- Collect and label data from robotic operations for machine learning and performance analysis.
- Monitor robot performance and troubleshoot basic operational issues.
- Work with the engineering team to refine robotic movements and improve task accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and cleanliness standards during operations.
- Document procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- Basic understanding of robotics or mechanical systems.
- Comfortable working in a kitchen-like environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with robotic arms or automation systems.
- Familiarity with data collection and labeling processes.
- Background in food service or manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- A technical degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
- Experience with robotic systems is a plus.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Francisco, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
