Line Cook

Prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and cold food items accurately and efficiently for various meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, and special or catered events.

• Prepare menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Execute cooking techniques such as sautéing, grilling, roasting, and batch cooking while maintaining consistency across all dishes.
• Follow daily production sheets and prep lists to meet service timelines.
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
• Ensure all ingredients are measured, handled, and stored according to company procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen leadership to maintain quality control and support menu rollouts or seasonal updates.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout service.
• Communicate any shortages, equipment issues, or recipe discrepancies to supervisors.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented kitchen culture aligned with corporate values.

• Food safety certification.
• Ability to work quickly and stay organized in a high-demand environment.
• Experience as a line cook in a corporate dining, hotel, or high-volume kitchen environment preferred.
• Strong ability to follow structured recipes and standardized processes without deviation.
• Solid understanding of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Strong multitasking skills and the stamina to stand for long periods.
• Basic knife skills and comfort working with heat and fast-moving equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work well under pressure.

• Experience in diners or similar fast-paced kitchens preferred but not required.

This role is based in a semiconductor environment known for its cleanliness. The dress code includes black shoes (non-slip), black pants, and a black polo shirt. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with one weekend day included. Shift hours are from 6 am to 2 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA.

The pay range for this position is $23.28 - $23.28/hr.
