Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic/Tech II
Job Description
As a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician II, you will utilize your expertise to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. This role offers the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will also have the chance to mentor junior technicians, helping them grow in their roles.
Responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), which includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
- Maintain positive working relationships across all of the Operations facility.
- Track and store department inventory.
- Move up to 49lbs and stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
- 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment.
- 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
- 1+ years of metal and wood fabrication.
- 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
- 1+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
- Ability to use a multimeter.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
- 1+ years of working with computers.
- Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and safety standards.
- Project Management experience.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.
- Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
- Preferred: Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
- 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.

Work Environment
The role requires physical demands such as reaching arms above the head, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps/ladders, and frequently lifting up to 50 lbs. of equipment. Tasks will be performed wearing a mask, face shield, and composite toed boots. The environment involves movement between departments, floors, and properties, and may include walking 6 to 12 miles per day in fluctuating temperatures. Regularly, tasks will require typing on a computer or stand-up desk for 1-2 hours per day.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $72072.00 - $72072.00/yr.
