Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Pay: $24-$26

Job Description

As an Equipment Operator, you will efficiently operate machinery to produce concrete products from raw materials to the yard stage. You will inspect the quality of products according to standards and assist in maintaining accurate production records. You will also monitor machinery operations to detect and report malfunctions and perform essential machine clean-up and set-up functions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment efficiently to produce concrete products.
  • Inspect product quality according to established standards.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate production records.
  • Monitor machinery operations and report malfunctions.
  • Perform machine clean-up, set-up, and other job change functions.
  • Maintain housekeeping in a clean and orderly fashion in assigned areas.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or lead operators.
  • Willing to cross-train on other aspects of the production process.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with machine operating and general production.
  • Proficiency in inspection and machine operation.
  • Ability to operate concrete and hydraulic machines.
  • General labor and heavy equipment operation skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Exposure to manufacturing/industrial environments is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or at least 1 year of experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety procedures and operating manuals.
  • Initiative to maintain clean and safe work areas.
  • Capability to lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds, with assistance if needed.
  • Ability to assist others in moving heavier or bulky objects.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment such as earplugs, hard hat, steel toe shoes, and protective gear.

Work Environment

The work environment is loud, dirty, and team-oriented, requiring attention to detail. You must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, frequently standing for extended periods. The role is on the first shift from 3 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays for overtime.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of San Martin, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
