Machine / Equipment Operator

Day shift (6am-2:30pm) machine operator needed for wire excursion shop in Santa Ana. Pay will be based on experience but typically $20-$22 an hour (can be higher with experience) with overtime available as well. Open to entry level candidates that are open to train and grow with the company.

What You’ll Do

• Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment based on work orders, drawings, and specifications
• Perform line clearance to ensure a clean start for every job
• Verify materials and part numbers before running production
• Complete accurate documentation: setup sheets, inspection records, material verification forms, and production reports
• Update and sign off on setup sheets when changes occur
• Report daily production quantities and hours worked
• Wrap, label, and return unused materials to inventory
• Ensure all reels, bags, and packages are properly labeled
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures and report any issues

What You Bring

• Experience operating manufacturing or industrial equipment is a plus
• Ability to read work orders, drawings, and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Bonus Skills

• Experience with extrusion, wire, or mechanical equipment
• Ability to use hand tools and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Blueprint reading and basic math skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced industrial environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, CA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
