Job title: Insurance Coordinator
Reports to: Insurance Manager
Position Description:
Perform administrative tasks and provide customer support as related to various insurance and surety requests in compliance with clients' respective program requirements, within commercial construction and across regional areas.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
• Perform administrative tasks and provide customer support as related to various insurance and surety requests in compliance with clients' respective program requirements, within commercial construction and across regional areas.
• Process client requests for insurance documentation (including Certificate of Insurance (CoI) certificates and endorsements).
• Assist with preliminary insurance and surety pricing tasks for projects utilizing insurance using proprietary applications, escalate to Insurance Manager for decision making.
• Respond to client initial inquiries regarding insurance and surety issues and as appropriate, elevate to Insurance Manager.
• Become familiar with insurance concepts, terminology, coverages, endorsements and ultimately understand each line of commercial insurance to respond to client inquiries, including but not limited to:
o Commercial General Liability
o Builders Risk
o Workers Compensation
o Professional Liability
o Contractor's Pollution Liability
o Commercial Automobile Liability
• Understand basic principles and function of Wrap-Up insurance programs to support client inquiries and related tasks:
o Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP")
o Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP")
• Become familiar with tools and systems to conduct data entry and prepare basic reports in proprietary applications.
• Assist with maintaining Builder's Risk Monitor for clients.
• Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

- Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year of insurance or business-related experience and/or Bachelor's Degree from accredited program in Business, Insurance, Risk Management or relevant field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Professional verbal and written communication skills, ability to clearly communicate messages
• General understanding of insurance programs and claims processes, desired
• Familiar with insurance concepts, terminology, coverages, and endorsements
• Interest in learning about commercial construction and insurance
• Proficient computer, data entry, and Microsoft suite of applications skills
• Exceptional organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and timely documentation
• Good judgment to identify problems, escalate issues, and maintain confidentiality
• Active listening skills, responsive, and strong follow-up practices
• Approachable, proactive, and professional attitude while working in ever changing environment
• Work independently with oversight and direction, and collaboratively with teams
• Limited travel
