Framing Carpenter – Tenant Improvement (TI Project)
Location: Santa Monica, CA

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Framing Carpenter for commercial Tenant Improvement (TI) work in Santa Monica. This project involves interior build‑outs within commercial spaces such as offices and retail environments. The ideal candidate has strong framing skills, works efficiently from plans, and understands the pace and coordination required on TI projects.
Responsibilities
- Metal stud framing for interior commercial TI build‑outs
- Layout and frame walls, soffits, and ceiling details per plans
- Read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings
- Install blocking and backing for drywall and finishes
- Work cleanly and safely, including in occupied spaces when required
- Coordinate with other trades and site supervision
- Maintain job site safety and organization
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of framing experience (commercial TI preferred)
- Strong metal stud framing experience required
- Ability to read blueprints and follow layout accurately
- Proficient with framing hand and power tools
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Must be able to work full shifts on-site
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10
- Previous office, retail, or restaurant TI experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
This is a Contract position based out of Santa Monica, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $83200.00/yr.
