Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist experienced with Fanuc and Mastercam programming to join our team. You will be primarily responsible for programming, operating, and tooling on our Doosan turret lathe and live spindle lathe mill turn machines. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage day-to-day operations efficiently, ensuring continuity in production processes.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC lathes using Fanuc and Mastercam.
• Create and adjust tooling as necessary.
• Perform quality checks on parts independently.
• Maintain production flow by ensuring tools are available and functioning.
• Handle various materials, including steel, aluminum, and titanium.
• Adapt to changing daily tasks, which may include running the same job for a week or multiple setups in a single day.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in CNC lathe programming, setup, and operation.
• Experience with Mastercam, Fanuc, and Doosan machines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and G&M codes.
• Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be a citizen of the USA or a legal resident alien.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Understanding of tooling, hardware identification, and instrumentation.
• Commitment to maintaining production schedules and adhering to safety and quality management systems.

Work Environment

Work in a machine shop environment where you will operate CNC lathes and perform hands-on tasks independently. You are expected to supply your own tools and adhere to company safety standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santee, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
