- Perform site development tasks such as grading, site design, utility layout, and drainage planning.
- Support traffic engineering and construction design efforts as needed to ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Collaborate closely with clients, technical staff, and internal leadership to align design solutions with project goals, budgets, and schedules.
- Manage and respond to agency reviews, incorporating late-stage comments and requirements that may significantly alter designs.
- Balance creativity with constructability, cost, and regulatory constraints to develop solutions that can be efficiently built in the field.
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience as a civil design engineer.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software for civil design and documentation.
- Experience in the design and production of infrastructure construction documents.
- Hands-on experience with civil engineering design, including site development, grading, site design, and utility design.
- Knowledge of drainage and traffic engineering concepts as they relate to infrastructure projects.
- Ability to incorporate city, county, and special district standards into project designs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, technical staff, and management.
Qualifications:
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
- Experience working on public sector, education, healthcare, or other highly scrutinized infrastructure projects.
- Ability to manage multiple agency reviews and adapt designs in response to late-stage comments.
