Facilities Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Assistant to join our team. The role involves starting your day with a set daily route in the building, following a work order system to track completed tasks. The primary duties include maintaining cleanliness and order in various areas such as restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and office spaces. Occasionally, you may be required to assist in cleanroom cleaning with appropriate training.

• Perform janitorial duties including deep restroom cleaning, flooring cleaning, heavy trash bag disposal, and box lifting.
• Provide maintenance support by changing soap dispensers and faucets, and handling tasks with small hand tools.
• Coordinate with vendors, guiding them through locations and managing their sign-in and sign-out process.
• Utilize computer knowledge for virtual training, online supply ordering, and data entry.
• Address minor issues during cleaning such as patching, painting, and swapping out dispenser machines.

• Experience in custodial work, cleaning, and janitorial tasks.
• Familiarity with power tools and computer data entry.
• Ability to track work orders and maintain commercial spaces.
• Proficiency in English speaking and writing.
• Experience in managing vendor relationships.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

• Experience as a commercial janitor, custodian, or cleaner.
• Ability to mop and handle other cleaning equipment.

Work in a manufacturing environment with specific cleanrooms. Training will be provided during the first month, starting at 6:30 am from Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sunnyvale, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
