Job Title: Senior R&D Engineer


Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Senior R&D Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The role involves extending the shelf life of our products and addressing manufacturing requirements. You will be instrumental in guiding products through the development cycle, ensuring they meet clinical needs and industry standards.


Responsibilities

  • Extend the shelf life of products, particularly catheters.
  • Redefine and remediate product requirements to meet clinical needs and standards.
  • Conduct design verification and validation processes.
  • Perform shelf-life testing, with a preference for catheter shelf life testing.
  • Utilize the Instron pull test machine for testing.
  • Execute Design of Experiments (DOEs) testing.
  • Design couplers to connect multiple catheters using SolidWorks.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in medical device engineering.
  • Proficiency in shelf life testing and understanding of product requirements.
  • Experience in design verification and validation processes.
  • Competence in using SolidWorks for product design.
  • Knowledge of the Instron pull test machine.
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with injection molding.
  • Exposure to 1-2 product cycles in a related field.
  • Ability to understand product interaction with end clients.

Work Environment

Join a growing company of 80-100 employees, currently expanding into a second building to support R&D and manufacturing. Recently received FDA 510(k) clearance and are in the commercialization and marketing phase. The work setting provides a start-up atmosphere with opportunities for innovation and professional growth.


Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Sunnyvale, California.
