Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. This role involves performing essential duties required by CLIA/CAP, including specimen processing, test performance, and reporting of test results. You will conduct routine qualitative and quantitative analyses of various clinical specimens, such as blood and urine, and maintain comprehensive records of laboratory results, quality control data, and laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties required by CLIA/CAP.
• Responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting test results.
• Conduct routine qualitative and quantitative analysis of clinical specimens including blood and urine.
• Maintain records of laboratory results, quality control data, and laboratory procedures.
• Perform and optimize NGS library preparation on clinical samples.
• Collect data as required by the SOP.
• Maintain effective communication with supervisor on day-to-day activities and ongoing experiments.
• Coordinate with internal and external audits and report instances of noncompliance to compliance personnel.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in immunoassay, laboratory practices, and molecular biology.
• Experience in hematology, clinical laboratory, and microbiology.
• CLS Generalist license.
• Experience with Beckman DxHs, Sysmex CS2500’s, Siemens Atellicas and a Siemens Centaur

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (Generalist).
• 1-3 years of experience in the biotechnology or biomedical field.
• Open to entry-level CLS with a Generalist license.

Work Environment

The position operates on a shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, requiring full availability on weekends. The role involves working in a laboratory environment, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and maintaining a professional dress code in compliance with safety standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Thousand Oaks, CA.

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $60.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Thousand Oaks,CA.
